Day 3

How do I start? Day 3 has just past 23 minutes ago and I still do not want to leave it behind for the feeling for the day's event was great and fruitful for the team.
We took a 3-hours plus ride to Puli, Taichung, a place famous for its scenic mountains as they have put it "山清水秀" just on time for a 9 course sumptuous lunch.
We had our game at 1pm with the Puli National Vocational Institute's U-17 team. Our team has faced the challenge that we came for, that is to match up with male pitcher for the age group.
The team was struggling with making contact with the balls in the first 3 innings. The Puli's team had a head start 1-0, courtesy of crucial error by our fielders. We managed to hold them well with our starting pitcher, Barathan who was relieved by Yong Cai and Jerald in the later innings. Our defence worked seamlessly to counter the hustling by the opponent. With adjustment in the later innings, the hits started coming in and we fought on not only to score 2 runs, but to hold them to the 1 run. The game ended with Barathan's re-entry to give a closer.
The boys did very well for this game. It is by no mean easy to come back from behind to take the lead and hold them to a 2-1 victory. Well done boys! I am certain they will do well for day 4 game. Will upload the photos later as my card reader has gone bonkers. Oh Yah, Puli is a very beautiful place with warm sunny days and cool evening (14C). I am glad that we managed to fit our schedule for this place playing this team. Day 4 should be all worth while. Ciao! ZZzzzzzzz
